Facebook Ads for Arborist Services: 90 Leads in Three Months
The changes behind the results

The challenge
The client already had Meta campaigns running, but much of the budget was going towards link clicks without tracking whether those visitors became enquiries. Website form submissions weren’t being reported back to Meta, leaving a gap between ad activity and business results.
The audit also found that previous Messenger leads hadn’t converted into customers. The goal was to build campaigns around measurable enquiries for arborist and tree services across Christchurch and Rangiora.

What we changed
Rebuilt campaigns around lead generation.
We launched new campaigns using the Leads objective, giving Meta a clearer outcome to optimise towards. The new structure covered instant forms, website enquiries and retargeting, with each campaign focused on generating leads.
Made it easier to enquire directly.
We introduced Facebook instant forms as an alternative to the previous Messenger approach. Potential customers could submit an enquiry without leaving Facebook. This campaign generated 35 leads at an average cost of NZ$32.78 each.
Connected website enquiries to campaign results.
We introduced thank-you page conversion tracking so website form completions could be measured in Meta. The main website lead campaign recorded 47 enquiries, making it possible to assess performance against submissions rather than clicks alone.
Added retargeting to support lead generation.
We launched a dedicated retargeting campaign to reconnect with people who had already interacted with the business. It recorded a further 8 website enquiries, contributing to the 55 website conversions reported across both campaigns.

The results
We established Facebook Ads as a measurable lead generation channel for this arborist, generating 90 enquiries in three months at an average cost of NZ$36.64 each.
Previously, the business was paying for clicks with no visibility into whether those visitors became enquiries. By rebuilding campaigns around lead generation and tracking form submissions, we created a clear connection between advertising spend and incoming leads.
From May to July, the campaigns delivered an average of 30 leads per month. This gave the business an additional source of opportunities for work across its local service area.
The value extended beyond the initial 90 leads. Now they have a channel it could measure, refine and invest in, with a clearer understanding of which campaigns generated enquiries and what each lead cost.
